The campsite is in an ethno-style, with wooden bungalows, hidden in the shade of the trees surrounding it, in the close vicinity of the Drina River, which quietly passes by and invitingly smiles at you with its crystal clear color.
Breakfast.
Now you will have the opportunity to taste the specialties of our region. Homemade food from nearby villages. Homemade prosciutto, donuts, homemade honey, eggs, cheese pies ... all that will give you the energy you need as the adventure begins soon.
After breakfast departure in our ATVs towards the Sutjeska National Park.
We visit the Perućica Virgin Forest with its jewel - the Skakavac Waterfall (71m) and from the vantage points we observe the charms and beauties of the untouched nature of the only European virgin forest.
We continue our journey towards the Prijevor Lookout at the foot of Maglić - the highest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina, offering a magnificent view of Maglić, Volujak, Durmitor, Zelengora, Jahorina, Perućica, the Sutjeska Canyon….
We visit beautiful mountain hideouts and have lunch in nature.
The last location we visit is the Valley of Heroes - Tjentište, a former major tourist center with a rich cultural and historical heritage. Of course, a visit to the Monument to the Heroes of the Battle of Sutjeska is also obligatory, as well as a visit to the former largest outdoor pool in Europe at Tjentište. Return to the rafting center.
Free time for rest to regain strength from the thrill of the exciting adventure and for those who still have the energy there are pitches for football, volleyball…
Dinner.
This is followed by hanging out next to a campfire with some great music in the background. We advise you to bring a warmer wardrobe, because even though the days are very warm, the nights by the river can be surprisingly cold.
Overnight stay.
Day 3 - Sunday
Breakfast (homemade specialties)
After breakfast, you will be provided with the equipment you need for rafting. Everyone gets neoprene suits that are specially made for longer stay in the water and which will protect you from the cold water of the Tara River, shoes and boots, also made of neoprene, lifejackets and helmets.
Following this, we set off in our vehicles to Brštanovica, the starting point of this exciting adventure. Then a briefing is held by our licensed skippers on boat safety and on boat behavior. Rafting boats are professional rafting boats designed to withstand the playful rapids of the Tara River. Each boat has airtight sacks where you can put some basic belongings.
We recommend you to bring GO PRO cameras which you can rent from us and capture these unforgettable moments. Please note that we are not responsible for the loss and possible damage to the phones and cameras that you take to rafting.
On the rafting itself, you will experience over 30 exciting rapids (the most famous are Ćelije, Borovi, Varda ...), which will leave you breathless with their power and speed and will make you experience a real sense of adventure and adrenaline.
If you forget to bring something to drink, feel free to lean over the boat and catch the refreshing water of the Tara River, because its water is drinkable throughout its entire course, which is why the Tara River is called "the tear of Europe".
Somewhere in the middle of the descent we will take a break and see who has the courage to pass the "test of manhood", that is, to swim in the icy waters of the tributary of the Tara River, in a pool of a waterfall where the water temperature is 5 °C.
After about 3-4 hours, the approximate length of the descent, we arrive to our rafting center. Here you return your equipment and take a warm shower which will be immensely pleasant after the cold water of the Tara River.
Lunch.
Again, the specialties of our area are on the menu:
- Homemade bread and buns prepared in a wooden stove, homemade veal broth, homemade noodle soup and grits dumplings, white broth.
- Veal in sač (traditional ceramic dish) baked on the spot in our wood burning stove, flavored baked potatoes, fresh homemade salad (cabbage, mixed, tomato, cucumber), several types of homemade sweets (pie, lamington cake, baklava, apple and cherry pies).
The arrangement ends after lunch.
